Obituary of Thomas Wilson McKindary

Thomas Wilson McKindary, 93, of Totowa, passed away in his home on April 26, 2019. Thomas was born on July 21, 1925 in Hawthorne, NJ to the late Nathan and Julia McKindary. Before retiring, he worked as an engineer for many years, most recently at Zimmer Manufacturing in Hawthorne, NJ. A loving and devoted family man, Thomas will be especially remembered for his detailed and elaborate Christmas display in Totowa that was enjoyed by so many people each year.

Thomas was the beloved husband of Dolores Ann McKindary (nee Beute) for 71 years. He was the cherished father of Diann Bowe, Dorothy McArdle and her husband Tom, and Donna Panicci and her husband Butch. He was the adored grandfather of Sean Bowe and his wife Tiffany, Ryan Bowe and his wife Lisa, Kimberley Vaughan and her husband Corey, Lauren Siemonsma and her husband Eric, John Panicci and Dina and David Rodriguez. He was the great grandfather of James and Jack Bowe, Keely and Alexa Bowe, Elizabeth and Emmy Vaughan, Jayden, Ryan, Colton and Hunter Siemonsma and Gabriella and Nicholas Rodriguez. Thomas was predeceased by his parents and sister Alice Fava.

Visitation will be Tuesday. April 30th from 4-8pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park. A funeral Mass will be offered on Wednesday, May 1st at 9:30am at St. Gerard Majella Church, 501 West Broadway, Paterson, NJ. Entombment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa
