Obituary of Krista Stamenkovic

Krista Stamenkovic, 80, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 21, 2019. Born on March 25, 1939 in Prokuplje, Serbia, she immigrated to the United States in 1968 and lived in Paterson where she lovingly raised her children and cared for her grandchildren. Krista had a vivacious spirit and was matriarch of the family which she took so much pride in. 

She was the loving wife of Stanoje; a loving mother to Slavica, Slobodanka, son-in-law Luis, Milan, daughter-in-law Naida, Milanka, and son-in-law Christopher; a loving grandmother to Maya, Milan, Anjelica, Deanna, Krista, Luis Jr., Milan Jr. and Naiomi.

Krista was an amazing cook and an avid gardener who truly had a “green thumb.” Caring and generous, she had a great sense of humor and collected friends throughout her lifetime and will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her. 

A graveside memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 29th at 10:30am.
