Obituary of Maria "Mery" Ruiz

Maria "Mery" Ruiz, 77, of Paterson, passed away in her home on June 5, 2019. Maria was born in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico on May 17, 1942 to the late Enrique Ruiz and Matilde Rodriguez. Maria was a loving homemaker to her children and grandchildren. 

She was the adored mother of Maria Elizabeth Perez and her husband Radhames, Jose and Edwin Acevedo. She was the cherished grandmother of Elizabeth and Thalia Perez, Desiree, Jose, Anthony, Jewelz, Jaylyn Acevedo and Quinten Torres and the great grandmother of Milani Williams and Matthew Cuglietto. She is also survived by brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews in Puerto Rico.

Visitation will be Friday, June 7th from 4:00-8:00pm at Santangelo Funeral Home. A funeral service will be offered on Saturday, June 8th at 10:00am at Santangelo Funeral Home. Guests may arrive at 9:00am. Entombment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa.
