Obituary of Hilda Kane

Hilda Kane (nee Peterson), 101, of Bloomfield, passed away on June 17, 2019. Hilda was born in Plymouth, England on January 24, 1918 to the late John Alfred and Lillian (Pearl) Peterson. Before retiring, Hilda worked for many years as a legal assistant at Robert F. Colquhoun in Bloomfield. 

Hilda was predeceased by her beloved husband Edward Kane in 1994. She was the adored mother of Edward Kane and his wife Joyce, Robert Kane and his partner Sue, Michael Kane and his wife Karen and Deborah Tyler and her husband John. She was the cherished grandmother of Edward, Kevin, Christopher, Daniel, Brian, Jessica, Kim, Andrew, Elizabeth, Laura and Lynn and 19 great grandchildren. She was also predeceased by her brothers Reginald and Stanley Peterson and is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-7pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park, NJ. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 10am at Santangelo funeral Home and burial will follow at Glendale Cemetery in Bloomfield.
