Obituary of Tony Badis

Tony Badis, 69, of Clifton, passed away on August 9, 2019. He was born in Damascus, Syria on November 12, 1949 the son of the late Elias and Ejanine (Abidaher) Badis. Tony was a jeweler who specialized in designing and repairing jewelry.  He owned and operated Badis Jewelers in Bloomfield, NJ. He will always be remembered for his unique sense of humor, as well as his light-hearted personality, his charm and his charisma. His smiling face said it all.

He was the beloved husband of the late Mona (Alhazim) Badis until her passing in September 2018; the treasured father of Atena Badis and Fadi Badis and his wife Jessica; and the cherished grandfather of Adrianna Carvalho. Tony was predeceased by his brothers Joseph, Mitri and George and is also survived by many nieces and nephews including his dear Godsons Joseph and Louis Badis.

Visitation will be Tuesday, August 13th from 5:00-9:00pm at St. Ann Melkite Catholic Church, 802 Rifle Camp Rd, Woodland Park, NJ. A funeral service will be offered on Wednesday, August 14th at 10:00am at St. Ann Melkite Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Tony's name to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
