Obituary of Louise Pellegrino

Louise Pellegrino (nee Russo), 86, of Woodland Park, passed away in her home on October 19, 2019. Louise was born in Lyndhurst, NJ on March 8, 1933. Before retiring, she worked as a librarian at Montclair State University.

Louise was a devoted parishioner at St. Bonaventure Church in Paterson. She was the beloved wife of the late Gasper Pellegrino for 61 years until his passing in 2015. She was the cherished mother of Geralyn Doran and her husband Thomas and Susan VanDam and her husband Douglas and the treasured grandmother of Tom Doran, Jack Pellegrino, and Emily, Elisabeth and Douglas VanDam. Louise was predeceased by her sisters Teresa Lico, Mary Garrambone and Rose Bello and her brothers Joseph, Peter, Jerry and Tom Russo. She is also survived by her sister in law Francis Lindskog as well as many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 23rd from 4-8pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park. A funeral Mass will be offered on Thursday at 10:15am at St. Bonaventure Church, 174 Ramsey St, Paterson. Guests may gather at Santangelo Funeral Home at 9:15am. Burial will follow at Immaculate Conception in Upper Montclair.
