Obituary of Teresa Kurlej

Teresa Kurlej, 89, formerly of Oak Ridge, passed away on January 20, 2020. Teresa was born in Poland on May 4, 1930 to the late Stanley and Maria (Pohl) Karpiecz. Before retiring, Teresa worked at Union Carbide in Wayne, NJ. She was a loving homemaker to her husband and daughters. Teresa was predeceased by her husband Edward in 1984.

She was the adored mother of Ursula Hasbrook (late husband Matthew), Madaline Strupp (husband Robert), Yolanda Hennigan (husband Daniel) and Michele Kurlej. She was the cherished grandmother of Joseph, Teresa, Dana, Ashley, Alison and Brian and great grandmother to Tia, Christopher, Anthony, Briana, Robert, Danielle, Joe, Maddie and Wyatt. Teresa is also survived by many relatives in Poland.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 23rd from 9:30-11:30am at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park. A funeral service will follow the visiation beginning at 11:30am and burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa.
