Obituary of Gerard "Jerry" DeLeonardo

Gerard "Jerry" DeLeonardo, 69, of Toms River, passed away on February 11, 2020. He was born in New York, NY on January 22, 1951 to Olga “Dolly” (Piccolo) DeLeonardo and the late Joseph DeLeonardo. Most recently, Jerry worked as a Senior Youth Worker at the State of New Jersey Juvenile Justice Commission. 

Jerry was the beloved husband of Rose Ruiz DeLeonardo and the cherished father of John-Paul DeLeonardo and his wife Erin and Danielle DeLeonardo and her husband Tom Wyzga. He was the dear brother of Joseph DeLeonardo and his wife Susan and Carmella DeLeonardo and her husband Jimmy Bodnar. Many sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews also survive Jerry. 

Visitation will be Friday, February 14th from 10:00am-12:00pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park. Following visitation, a funeral Mass will be offered at 12:30pm at St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church, 286 Haledon Avenue, Prospect Park, NJ. Burial will follow at Laurel Grove Cemetery in Totowa.
