Obituary of Anna Hamill

Anna Hamill 88, departed this life on April 7, 2020 in Wayne, N.J. She was born in Paterson N.J on October 8, 1931 to James and Ellen Reid. Anna lived in Paterson most of her life and graduated from St. John Cathedral High School in 1948. She became a legal secretary at the age of 16. She married at 19 and after she raised her children she was employed for almost 30 years at the Passaic County Board of Social Services as a typist/stenographer. Anna enjoyed her work and was known at the agency for her "news" items and other bits of "interesting information". She was a member of the "Girls Club" and loved the time they spent together and their frequent social outings.She was one of the" Golden Girls" with Cor and Jan who she loved like sisters.

She is survived by her 3 daughters: Susan (Scott) Pirelli, Kathy (Scott) Carfagno and Patricia (Hamill) Di Santo. She was predeceased by her two sons: Robert Scott (2016) and James Scott (2001) as well as her first husband Henry J Scott and her second husband Patrick Hamill. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Due to the restrictions imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic, a memorial service will be held a later date.
