Andrew “AJ” Adamczyk, 24, of Pompton Plains, NJ passed away unexpected and tragic on April 1, 2020. Andrew was born on October 11, 1995 in Westwood, NJ to Andrew Adamczyk, Sr. and Tracy Marie Destefano –Adamczyk. Beloved brother to Ryan and Steven and our Shih Tzu (Buddy). A 2014 graduate of Pequannock Township High School, where he excelled on the football field *RB and was an equally talented and gifted varsity baseball player and member of the Sun Devils Baseball club team in Montville, NJ. He attended Moravian College in Bethlehem, PA.
Aj was recruited to play football @Moravian College and majored in Business Marketing and Finances. He recently moved to Culver City, LA to start a new life and business opportunity. He was so happy in California where he enjoyed going to the beach to surf and hike under the famous Hollywood sign.
Aj had a sense of humor that was laughable and everything was funny to him. He had a unique smile and a soul that lived life to its fullest. He had no regrets with a fearless attitude. AJ believed he was indestructible. He had characteristics of dedication and grit both on and off the playing field. Aj was a well-rounded individual, intellectually and athletically, he put the “P” in Perseverance and Passion throughout his short life. His mantra in high school and beyond was: “Win the day”.
Aj loved to visit and eat dinners with his grandma Babci Teresa Adamczyk of Garfield, NJ and his Nanny and Poppy Al and Gloria Destefano of Mahwah, NJ.
Aj instilled unforgettable moments and memories that will forever replay in our minds and hearts. Aj was a loyal friend who would without a hesitation have their back and lend a helping hand. Aj loved to hike and was recently in a relationship with Grace who he loved and adored.
