Obituary of Stanley J. Agines
Stanley Joseph Agines, formerly of Monthmouth Junction, NJ passed away on April 17, 2020. Stan was born in Bronx, NY on June 22, 1936 to the late David and Ruth (Gang) Agines. He proudly served in the finance department of the United States Army from 1958-1961. Later, Stan worked as the Vice President and Branch Manager of the Berkeley Federal Savings Bank in Plainsboro, NJ. He was also a former member of the Lions Club of Livingston and Plainsboro for 20 years. In his later years, Stan especially enjoyed his time at the NJ Veterans Home where he proudly organized and managed the library as "Stan, the Librarian". He also kept in touch with his extended friends and relatives with comical emails that brightened everyone's day.
Stan was predeceased by his late wife Elizabeth "Betty" Agines and his sister Marjorie Panken. He is survived by his nephew, Robert Zucker, who lives in France and his niece, Carol Bernero, of Flanders NJ, his dear close friends, especially his cherished Beverly with whom he happily shared the past 5 years at the Veteran's Home and his beloved Lillian who always took such great care of him. Everyone who was lucky enough to know Stan will miss him dearly.
Stanley was honorably laid to rest at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown, New Jersey.
