Wadia Juzdan

Obituary of Wadia Juzdan

Christ is Risen! Indeed He is Risen!

In the hope of the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, we regret to inform you of the passing into eternal life of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Wadia Juzdan. Wadia was born in 1921 in Damascus, Syria. She emigrated to Brooklyn, NY in 1952 with her late husband, Hafez Juzdan. In 1958, they moved to Weehawken, NJ and eventually settled in Woodland Park. Since coming to America, Wadia and Hafez have dedicated their lives to their children, grandchildren and the St. George Antiochian Orthodox Christian community, which started in Paterson, NJ and then moved to Little Falls, NJ.

Wadia was loved and respected by everyone in her community. She was a strong, faithful and loving woman, who cared for her family and served her church unconditionally. She was a long-time member of the St. George Ladies’ Society and a friend to all who knew and loved her. She instilled in her children and grandchildren the importance of family and encouraged strong values. Her faith in our Lord, Jesus Christ and her love for her family live on in her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Wadia is survived by her children, George (Dorothy) and Ziad (Fadia). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Renee, Christina (Ryan), Lindsey (Walker), Paul (Mary), George (Sheena), Nicholas and Janine and her two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Hafez Juzdan.

She will be missed dearly. We love you mom.
