Obituary of Carmen Galese

Carmen Galese, 87, of Woodland Park, passed away on October 22, 2013 surrounded by his family. Carmen was born in Paterson on April 25, 1926 to the late Battestina and Gugliermo Galese. He was the youngest of four boys: Orazio, Joseph, John, and Carmen. He proudly served his country as a member of the US Army during WWII 1944-1946. Carmen was the founder and proprietor of Westmont TV for over 30 years in Woodland Park, NJ. Carmen was well-loved and well-respected by all who knew him. He was the beloved husband of Angelina Rose "Tiny" (nee Travia) for 66 years. He was the adored father of Carmen Galese and his wife Michelle, Gale Galese and his wife Patricia, and Joan Reid and her husband John. He was the treasured grandfather of Dawn D'Alessandro and her husband Eugene, Tori Freiday and her husband Brandon, Alexandra, Loren A., Jillian and Nicholas Galese, Chad Reid and his wife Ashley, and Jonryan and Christian Reid and great grandfather to Angelina and Sydney D'Alessandro, Julianna and Mckenzie Reid and Deklan Freiday. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park. A funeral service will be offered on Friday at 11am at Santangelo Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa.
