Mike and I served at Parris Island early in the 1980’s, both of us working in the data center. He was married to BJ and little Mikey came along soon after we met. Since they were married, the Corps gave them a little duplex base house.
That gave us a place to gather at lunch time in front of the TV watching “The Price is Right” several days a week. That place got crowded some days, too.
Mike was also the first person to take me into Manhattan on a Saturday night, something I will never forget.
Sorry to see you go so soon, brother. Save a spot for me in the chow line, will you?
