Obituary of Carol Ann Ferrise

Carol A. Ferrise (nee Massa), 66, of East Hanover, passed away on November 18th at her home with her husband by her side. Carol was born in Newark on December 8, 1946 to the late Mario and Florence (nee Casale) Massa. Carol received her BA and her MA in elementary education from Kean University. She then began a 40 year teaching career in both the Belleville and Newark School Systems where she was not only a dedicated teacher but also a member of several organizations and committees. She was also a parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Church in East Hanover. Carol was the adored wife of Frank R. Ferrise for 44 years. Together they adopted their late son, David Ferrise. Carol is also survived by her brothers as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins and was predeceased by her parents and her son, David. A memorial Mass will be offered on Friday at 9:30am at St. Rose of Lima Church, 312 Ridgedale Ave., East Hanover.
