Obituary of Samuel Ramos
Samuel Ramos, 72, of Paterson, passed away on October 30, 2020. Samuel was born in Caguas, Puerto Rico on January 22, 1948 to the late Inocencio and Encarnancion (Ruiz) Ramos. Before retiring, he worked as the chief custodian for the Paterson Board of Education. Samuel's mother, Encarnacion Ramos, instilled in him the love of God as a child which surely led to his becoming an ordained minister in 1989. He continued to keep his strong faith in God to the end. Samuel was a devoted family man who was the beloved husband of Nilsa Ivette Ramos, the cherished father of Yvette Agosto, Rosemary Paragas, Samuel Ramos, Jr. and Juan Manuel Ramos. He was the treasured grandfather of Jessica L. Agosto, Anthony Agosto, Jr., Christian R. Paragas, Michael D. Ammonds, Mariah A. Ramos, Ethan R. Paragas, Jordan D. Ramos, Sarai I. Ammonds and Aiden Samuel Ramos and the great grandfather of Dominique L. Agosto. Samuel was the dear brother of Rafael Ramos, Jose Antonio Ramos, Carmen Delia Ramos, Efrain Ramos and Carmen Nereida Ramos and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday, November 12th from 4:00-8:00pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park. A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 13th at 11:00amat Santangelo Funeral Home. Guests may arrive between 10:00am and 11:00am. Burial will follow at Laurel Grove Cemetery in Totowa.
