Obituary of Maria Giraldo

Maria Giraldo, 77, of Paterson, passed away on December 3, 2020. She was born in Medellin, Colombia on January 13, 1943 to the late Ramon and Maria (Rodriquez) Giraldo. Maria graduated from high school in Colombia and immigrated to the United States in 1973. She worked most recently as a cook at St. Joseph's Children's Center in Totowa before its closing. 

Maria was the cherished mother of Luz Posada, Manuel Ramirez and his wife Marta and Jairo Garcia and his wife Viviana. She was the adored grandmother of 4 grandchildren and 3 great children and was predeceased by her grandson Heiner Posada.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 9, 2020 from 10:00am to 12:00pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park. A funeral service will follow the visitation beginning at 12:00pm. Entombment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa.
