Obituary of Bruno Rubino

Bruno Rubino, 83, of Woodland Park, passed away on December 20, 2020. He was born in Pacentro, Italy on December 3, 1937 to the late Germano and Gemma (Cercone) Rubino. Bruno immigrated to Paterson, NJ in 1956 where he worked most of his career as a fork-lift operator for Nabisco until his retirement. Bruno was a parishioner of Our Lady of Pompei Church for many years. 

Bruno was the beloved husband of Franca (Mitolo) Rubino; the cherished father of Stefano and his wife Kim, Paul and his wife Laura, and Mike and his wife Stephanie; and the adored grandfather of 9 grandchildren. Bruno was predeceased by 5 brothers and 2 sisters and is survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Bruno was known for his quiet demeanor, kindness and unselfishness.  Bruno touched many people throughout his distinguished life and described by friends as a “true gentleman!”  Most of all, Bruno was the ultimate family man who gave everything for his family and wanted nothing in return.

Visitation will be Monday, December 28th from 2-6pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 29th at 10:00am at Our Lady of Pompei Church, 70 Murray Ave., Paterson. Entombment will follow at Laurel Grove Cemetery in Totowa. 

Due to the COVID-19 state mandate, a maximum of 50 individuals are permitted in the funeral home at one time. A face covering must be worn by everyone in attendance at all times. In addition, please follow social distancing guidelines. Thank you for your compliance and understanding.
