Obituary of Josephine Borowski

Josephine Borowski (nee Costa), passed away peacefully at home on December 31, 2020 just five days before her 104th birthday. She was born in Paterson on January 5, 1917 to the late Antonio and Salvatrice (Mania) Costa. Before retiring many years ago, Josephine worked as a seamstress at Mayflower Coat Company in Paterson. More recently, she enjoyed being a member of the West Paterson Seniors. Josephine was predeceased by her husband Walter Borowski. She was the adored mother of Brenda Kobloski and Ronald Borowski and his wife Diane and the cherished grandmother of Brian Borowski and Erin Matysik and her husband Douglas. Visitation will be Sunday, January 3, 2021 from 2:00-5:00pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park, NJ. A funeral service will begin on Monday, January 4th at 10:00am at Santangelo Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Laurel Grove Cemetery in Totowa. Due to the COVID-19 state mandate, a maximum of 50 individuals are permitted in the funeral home at one time. A face covering must be worn by everyone in attendance at all times.
