Obituary of Anthony "Tony" Mingione

Anthony “Tony” Mingione, 88, a resident of Woodland Park for over 50 years, passed away in his home on January 27, 2021. Tony was born in Paterson, NJ on September 17, 1932 to the late Vincenzo and Susan (Elia) Mingione and remained a resident there for 25 years. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War, fighting in Germany. 

Tony married Stella Lazicki Mingione and together they lived in Clifton for 6 years before settling in Woodland Park. He worked for 23 years as a mechanic for Zabriskie Chevrolet in Paterson before opening and operating his own auto repair business called Tony’s Auto Repair in Woodland Park, NJ for over 45 years. There he also did authorized police towing for many years. Fixing cars and towing were truly his passions in addition to his loving family. 

Tony was the beloved husband of Stella Lazicki-Mingione for 65 years, the adored father of Vicki Mingione-Gaccione and son in law Thomas Gaccione; and the cherished grandfather of Thomas Anthony Gaccione, Pamela Gaccione, and Andrew Mingione and his wife Jenelle and the great grandfather of Julianna and Joey Mingione.

Visitation will be Sunday, January 31, 2021 from 4:00-8:00pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park, NJ. 

Due to the COVID-19 state mandate, a maximum of 50 individuals are permitted in the funeral home at one time. A face covering must be worn by everyone in attendance at all times. In addition, please follow social distancing guidelines. Thank you for your compliance and understanding.
