Obituary of Louis J. Politano

Louis J. Politano, 92, of Wayne, passed away on February 1, 2021. Louis was born in Brooklyn, NY on November 20, 1928 to the late Joseph and Rosaria (Longo) Politano. Louis proudly served the United States Army during WWII and later was re-called during the Korean War. Louis was the owner and operator of Altar Body and Frame Repair in Pompton Lakes for many years and most recently enjoyed working as the front entrance greeter at ShopRite in Little Falls. He enjoyed spending time making stained glass pieces for friends and family.

Louis was the beloved husband of Rosemarie (DiFuria) Politano for 59 years. He was the adored father of Maryann Angelella (husband Gerard) and Rita Colella and the cherished grandfather of Nicolette and Dominic Angelella and Vincent Colella. Louis is also survived by his sister Mary Politano, brother Carmine Politano, and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Eugene and Ida DiFuria. Louis was the dear uncle to Joseph Politano, Jeanne Montanez and Anthony DiFuria. 

Visitation will be Thursday, February 4, 2021 from 4:00-7:00pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park. A funeral Mass will be offered on Friday, February 5, 2021 at 10:30am at Our Lady of the Valley, 630 Valley Rd., Wayne, NJ 07470. Entombment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa.
