Obituary of Anthony E. Nigro

Anthony E. Nigro, 73, of Newton, passed away suddenly on February 2, 2021. Anthony was born in Orange, NJ on September 29, 1947 to the late Ernest and Rita (Demado) Nigro. 

Anthony (also known as Perky and Grandpa Tony to family) is survived by his wife of 14 years Lauren Capaci of Newton, his sisters Rita Puzzo and Ann Puzzo and brother-in-law Leon, his nephews Phillip Puzzo and Steven (wife Denise) Puzzo, his nieces Lisa (husband Salvator) Scirica and Debbie Wilcox (wife Kim Wilcox), his stepdaughter Stephanie Blake, and his 5 grandchildren: Noemi, Liora, Zipporah, Markos and Ryn Lastra who were the light of his life. He was loved my many other family members and friends.

Tony was a mechanic and owned his own auto business for years in Orange NJ. He was an avid motorcycle rider and loved riding his Harley all the way to Sturgis. He loved dancing and going to garage sales. He would fix any piece of equipment and would lend a hand to anyone who needed it. 

A memorial Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at 10:00am at Our Lady of Pompei Church, 70 Murray Ave., Paterson.
