Obituary of Jane Marie Inserra

Jane Marie Inserra, 62, born August 1st 1958, passed away on February 11th 2021 at home surrounded by her family. She grew up in Paterson, NJ. She attended JFK High School and graduated from William Paterson College in 1981. Before she retired she worked for AAA North Jersey for many years. Jane loved to travel whether for work, or with her family, on cruises, Europe, and other countries. She was an amazing cook and baker. Jane enjoyed gardening with an array of plants she grew. She was very creative and crocheted many blankets for the people that loved and supported her. She had a lot of love for music and dancing. She liked playing and watching game shows with her family.

Jane was the cherished daughter of Christina and Henry Petty; she was the beloved wife of Michael Inserra for 42 years; a devoted mother to Larissa and Andrea Inserra and the dear sister of Marlene Leyden and brother Richard Petty. She was also the cherished aunt of many nieces and nephews and also leaves behind many friends and extended family members.

Visitation will be Wednesday, February 17, 2021 from 10:00am-1:00pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park, NJ. Prayers will said at the funeral home at 1:00pm before proceeding to the masoleum at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa. 

Due to the COVID-19 state mandate, a maximum of 75 individuals are permitted in the funeral home at one time. A face covering must be worn by everyone in attendance at all times. In addition, please follow social distancing guidelines. Thank you for your compliance and understanding.
