My dear friend Steve had many friends, too many to count. Everyone loved him. Steve was always happy and I can recall the days when a party or a gathering wasn't complete without his presence. I can remember us all waiting for his arrival, especially around the holidays, I can hear someone or other exclaiming "I thought you said Steve was coming?" and I can see most of us checking the window, and watching the clock asking after him. Steve could take the blues away in a heartbeat. Steve always taught us to laugh at ourselves & he coached us not to take life too seriously. We were very young back then, & we all took the realities of life very hard. He did too but he never lost his sense of humour, and that was the best gift he gave to everyone who knew him, the gift of laughter. He made us laugh until we cried even though we thought our personal/collective world was coming to an end. He wiped away all our sorrows, always telling us to "get real" "be real", and many of us simply loved to imitate him. We were all so grateful to know someone as special as he, & we still are to this day. He was a cherished gem to many people. Steve is in my fondest memories of growing up in NY. He is going to be deeply missed by all his friends, including myself. I still think of him & laugh to this very day. Farewell my friend! You'll never die Steve, you'll live in our hearts forever! I can almost hear him reciting this poem. Thank you for everything! See you soon enough! We love you!

My Beloved Husband Stephen, when you left this earth you took a piece of my heart with you. My Dearest Stephen
Where do I begin? I'm so sorry we didn't have the chance to say farewell.. I'll always remember the good times we shared, the advice you would would give me through trying times, it was always from the heart and straight forward, honest wether I wanted to hear it or not. You will live on in our lives forever. Everyone is put on this earth for a reason and when the job is done God takes us home. You have made your mark and no one will ever forget you.
