Obituary of Agostino Fiorarancio
Agostino Fiorarancio, age 72, of Woodland Park, passed away peacefully at home on March 12, 2021. Born in Cetraro, Italy, on February 17, 1949, he was the youngest of Giuseppe Fiorarancio and Rosa Fiorarancio (nee Settembrina) eight children. He emigrated from Italy as a young boy, living with his sister and her family until he enlisted into the Air Force in 1969.
He married Stella Maris Benavidez in Morón, Argentina on December 14, 1973. The two had met while he was on vacation with a relative. Before his retirement, he worked as a collision repair technician for approximately 42 years.
He loved going to car shows, appreciated classic cars, guitars and spending time with family.
Agostino is survived by his wife of 48 years, Stella, his daughter Carmelina and her husband Kenneth, sons Joseph and fiancée Kelly Smith, and Sergio and his husband Jonathan Daye. He was the beloved Nonno to five grandchildren: Veronica, Amelia, and James Brockmann and Lilly and Bella Fiorarancio. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and Godchildren.
Agostino was the dear brother of John of Totowa, NJ and Carmela of Cetraro, Italy and was predeceased by his sisters Maria, Emilia, Immacolata, Peppina, and Concetta.
Visitation will be Monday, March 15, 2021 from 3:00-7:00pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park, NJ. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at 9:30am at St. James of the Marches Church, 400 Church St., Totowa, NJ. Entombment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa.
