Obituary of Maria Loretta DeRosa

Maria Loretta DeRosa (nee DiMaggio), age 76 of Woodland Park, passed away on April 16, 2021 at home with her family.  She was born in Tommasso Natale, (Palermo) Sicily on February 6, 1945 to the late Antonino DiMaggio and Francesca D'Angelo.  She worked as a Business Administrator at Baxter Rubber Company in Fairfield, NJ for over 40 years.  She was a parishioner of St. Bonaventure Church in Paterson, NJ for many years.  In her free time; she loved to travel and enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.  

Maria was the beloved wife of the late Frank G. DeRosa for 43 years until his passing in 2009. She was the cherished mother of Russell and his wife, Christine and Anthony and his wife, Denise and the treasured Grandmother of Frankie, Isabella, Daniel, and Julia.  Maria is also survived by  her brother, Nicholas and her sisters, Eleanora and Francesca as well as many loving nieces and nephews.   

Visiting will be Tuesday, April 20th from 4-8pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Avenue, Woodland Park, NJ. A funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, April 21st at 10:15am at St. Bonaventure Church, 174 Ramsey Street, Paterson. Burial will follow at St. Nicholas Cemetery in Lodi.
