Obituary of Carmelo Mormina

Carmelo Mormina, 89, of Woodland Park, passed away peacefully at home on May 3, 2021. Carmelo was born in Sicily, Italy on October 15, 1931 to the late Vincenzo and Antonina (Lami) Mormina. He worked for many years in Italy as a builder and construction worker and later worked at Marijon Dyeing and Finishing in East Rutherford. 

Carmelo was predeceased by his wife Giovanna DiMarco Mormina in 2001. He was the adored father of Antonina Belluardo (husband Antonino), Vincenzo Mormina and Josephine Mormina and the cherished grandfather of Bruna and Enrica Belluardo. Carmelo is also survived by his brother Francesco Mormina and his sisters Angelina and Maria Teresa Mormina as well as many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Friday, May 7, 2021 from 4:00-8:00pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park. A funeral Mass will be offered on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at 10:15am at St. Bonaventure Church, 174 Ramsey St., Paterson, NJ. Entombment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa.
