Obituary of Carmine R Buglione
Carmine R. Buglione, 71, of Boynton Beach, formerly of Paterson, Woodland Park, and North Haledon, passed away suddenly on December 28, 2013 while enjoying the holidays with his family. Carmine was born in Paterson on April 28, 1942 to the late Albert and Josephine (Valenti) Buglione. He was a graduate of Eastside High School, Paterson, NJ and served his country as a member of the US Army National Reserve from 1962 to 1968.
Later, he became a proud member of the Iron Workers Union, Local 483, and previously served as a member of the North Jersey District Council of Ironworkers Unions. He was a master ironworker who opened his own business and specialized in structural steel erection, ornamental metal works, curtain wall, and glass hand rail systems. His business, a union shop, was Regal Contractors, Inc., and located in Paterson, NJ. His prominent works include, but are not limited to, New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) in Newark, NJ, the New Atlantic City convention Center, Terminal One at JFK Airport, the Tropicana, Bally's and Old Golden Nugget of Atlantic City.
He was a parishioner at St. Paul's Church in Prospect Park, a member of the Riverside Vets, and a past member of the Passaic County Democratic Committee. He coached various sports for Paterson, Woodland Park, and North Haledon.
Carmine was the adored husband of Carmela (nee Stanco) for 44 years. He was the treasured father of Albert C. Buglione and his wife Taryn, Marc Buglione and Jonathan Buglione and the cherished grandfather of Amelia. Carmine is also survived by his sister, Alberta Zigarelli, brothers-in-law Angelo (Virginia) and Michael, many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends who will miss him dearly. He was pre-deceased by his loving mother-in-law, Dora Bove Stanco and his loving k-9 companions (Boxers), Lex and Jack.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park. A funeral Mass will be offered on Saturday at 9:30am at St. Paul's Church, 286 Haledon Avenue, Prospect Park, NJ 07508. Guests may gather at Santangelo Funeral Home at 8:30am. Entombment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa.
