Obituary of John Ritchie

John Ritchie, 90, of Woodland Park, passed away on December 30, 2013. John was born in East Rutherford on September 11,1923 to the late Narthy and Catherine Ritchie. He proudly served his country as a member of the US Navy. He later worked as a machinist before retiring. John was the beloved husband of the late Stella (nee Longarzo) for 55 years. He was the loving father of Glenn Ritchie and his partner John Reed and the late John Ritchie and his wife Marilyn. He was the treasured grandfather of Jacqueline Bataille and her husband Jason and Ryan Ritchie. John was predeceased by 2 brothers and 1 sister and is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 3-6pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park. A graveside service will be offered on Thursday at 11am at the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum, 52 Totowa Rd., Totowa. Guests are to gather at the mausoleum.
