Obituary of Angelo Alabiso

Angelo Alabiso, 86, of Pompton Lakes, passed away on December 31, 2013. Angelo was born on July 5, 1927 in Riesi, Italy to the late Calogero and Maria Alabiso. Angelo had his own marble business in Italy where he built many houses and was very involved in his town. Angelo was the beloved husband of Maria (nee Carnemolla) for 65 years. He was the adored father of Calogero Alabiso and his wife Nancy, Maria Spadavecchia and Anna Alabiso, the treasured grandfather of Maria, Diana, Michael, Danielle and Selina and great-grandfather of Tyler, Mia, Evan, Gannon and Gage. He was the dear brother of Calogero, Salvatore, and Francesco Alabiso and the late Giuseppe and is also survived by many nieces and nephews. The oldest of his siblings, he was a father figure to all in his family. Angelo was a well-liked and respected man by all who knew him and he will be sorely missed. Visitation will be held on Monday from 4-7 pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park, NJ. Cremation will be private by the request of the family.
