Obituary of Edith "Ida" DeVito

Edith "Ida" DeVito, (nee Squitieri), 93, of Danvers, Massachusetts, formerly of Denville and Woodland Park, passed away on December 31, 2013. Edith was born on August 23, 1920 in Passaic, NJ to the late Michael and Philomena Squitieri. Edith worked as a seamstress for many years and later as a kitchen manager at McDonald's in Rockaway, NJ. She was also a league member of Xaverian Missionary League in Wayne, NJ. Edith was the beloved wife of the late Charles DeVito (1969). She was the cherished mother of Charles DeVito and his wife Annette, Robert DeVito and his wife Ellen and Daniella Medeiros and her husband Stephen. She was the adored grandmother of Charlie DeVito and his wife Karen, Michael DeVito and his wife Katherine, Chris, Matthew, and Cheryl DeVito and Steve and Mary Medeiras and great-grandmother of Juliana, Alyssa, Reagan and Jared. She was predeceased by her 7 siblings and survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation will held on Friday from 7-9pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park, NJ. A funeral Mass will be offered on Saturday at 9am at St. Bonaventure Church, 174 Ramsey St., Paterson. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa.
