Obituary of Lawrence J Fay

Lawrence J. Fay, 82, of Wallington, passed away on January 20, 2014 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Manhattan, NY on January 1, 1932 to the late John and Rosemarie (Headermann) Fay. He worked in quality control at Paterson Canning in Paterson, NJ before retiring. He was a devoted member of the Elks in Hackensack, NJ and was also a parishioner at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Passaic. Lawrence was the beloved husband of Nancy A. (Farren) for 60 years. He was the adored father of Eileen Vermeylen, Larry Fay and his wife Joann, and Karen McCaffery and her husband Michael. He was the cherished grandfather of Allison, Valerie, Amanda, Joey, Danny and Ryan and the great grandfather of Olivia, TJ, Alexandria, Nicky, Brandon, Jack, Aiden and Avery. He was the adored brother of Agnes Bowman and Pay Reynolds and the late Rosemary Norris, John Fay and Jimmy Fay. Larry is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park, NJ. A funeral Mass will be offered on Friday at 10am at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 10 St. Francis Way, Passaic, NJ. Guests may gather at Santangelo Funeral Home at 9am. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Mausoleum in North Haldeon.
