Obituary of John Capozzi

John Capozzi, 91, of Brooklyn, NY, formerly of Paterson, passed away on February 5, 2014. John was born on June 29, 1922 in Paterson to the late Carmine and Emilia Capozzi. He proudly served his country as a Captain in the United States Air Force in Japan during WWII. After the war, John lived in NYC for most of his life, most recently in Brooklyn. He worked at Curtiss-Wright for many years and most recently at the NYC Audubon Society. In addition, he was a talented artist and an opera aficionado. John was predeceased by his parents and his sisters Lucy Capozzi and Anne DeRosa. He is survived by his nephew Vincent DeRosa and his wife Magda as well as many friends. A funeral Mass will be offered on Saturday at 10:15am at St. Bonaventure Church, 174 Ramsey St., Paterson. Entombment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Paterson.
