Obituary of William Perry
William F. Perry, Jr., age 93, of Woodland Park, passed away on September 16, 2012. William was born in Union, NJ to the late William and Elizabeth Perry. He proudly served his country as a member of both the US Army and the US Navy during WWII. William later worked as an accountant for many years before retiring.
He was a member of the American Legion Post #238 in Woodland Park, the West Paterson Boys and Girls Club, the Democratic Club, the Woodland Park Library commission, and a former President of the PV Board of Education. He also enjoyed performing in Revolutionary War re-enactments. He was a parishioner at St. Bonaventure Church in Paterson where he also sang in the choir.
William was the beloved husband of the late Wanda (nee Madey), the treasured father of Patricia Maxwell and her husband James, Sr. and the late William F. Perry, III and his wife Karen. He was the adored grandfather of Sherri Capobianco and her husband Gary, Michelle Maxwell, James Maxwell, Jr. and his fianc Kris Feuss, William F., Perry, IV and his wife Carolyn, and Timothy, Daniel, Katie and Matthew Perry and the great grandfather of Veronica Schneider and shane and Dylan Perry. He was predeceased by his brothers Joseph and Warren Perry and survived by many nieces.
Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park, NJ. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday at 9:00am at St. Bonaventure Church, 174 Ramsey St., Paterson. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa.
