Obituary of Eugene J Rogers

Eugene J. Rogers, age 94, of Woodland Park, passed away on September 19, 2012. Eugene was born in New York City to the late Margaret and Eugene Rogers. He proudly served his country as a member of US Army Air Force during WWII. Eugene later worked as a detective for Erie Lackawanna Railroad and as a calibrator first class at Bendix in Teterboro and Singer Kearfott in Little Falls. He was also a parishioner at St. Bonaventure Church in Paterson. Eugene was the beloved husband of the late Martha (nee Clarke). He was the treasured father of Margaret "Peggy" Vida, John Rogers and his wife Lynn, Ann Esak, and Eugene Rogers. He was the adored grandfather of Kevin Rogers and his wife Elissa, Brian Rogers, Jacquelyn Fuschino and Richard Esak. He was the dear brother of Margaret Cordes and the late Beatrice Finlay and uncle to Kenneth Finlay and Joan Arietta. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park, NJ. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday at 9:00am at St. Bonaventure Church, 174 Ramsey St., Paterson. Burial will follow at Maryrest Cemetery in Mahwah.
