Obituary of Joseph Skurat

Joseph P. Skurat, age 82, of 36 WEST PATERSON, died Saturday, March 31, 2007 at his residence in WEST PATERSON. Mr. Skurat was born July 26, 1924 at Pringle, PA the son of the late Joseph and the late Elizabeth (Doriscowiecz) Skurat. He served in the Army from 1943 to 1945 during World War II. He was employed by Singer Kearfott West Paterson, NJ as a Machinist. Mr. Skurat was a member of American Legion Post 278, Musconetcing, NJ, and former member of the West Paterson Boys Club, West Paterson, NJ. Devoted husband of Marion (nee Jozowski). Beloved father of Joseph, John and wife Kitty, Mary Ellen Riga and her late husband Dennis, David and wife Pamela, Susan Martin and husband Tom, Nancy Skurat, and the late Mark Skurat. Cherished grandfather of Chelsea, Michael, Jason, Zane, Adam, Travis, Ayla Rose, and great-grandchild Dennis. Calling hours will be Wednesday, April 4th ,2007, at the Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 Mc Bride Ave, WEST PATERSON from 2-4, & 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be Thursday, also at the funeral home at 9:00am. Burial will be in HOLY Cross Cemetery, North Arlington on Thursday at 10:30 am.
