Obituary of JOHN EARL WALSH
WALSH- John Earl, Sr., life-long resident of the Stoney Road Section of Paterson before settling in Totowa, NJ. Passed into eternal life on July 9, 2007, age 87. John was a WW II veteran of the U.S. Navy. While serving, he was inducted into the Ancient Order of the Deep aboard the SS Sea Bass while crossing the equator in 1945. He was also a member of the NACCCA stationed in High Point, NJ. While a member, John was a Rod Man and aided in the construction of the dam at High Point. Before retiring, he was an Assembler for Curtiss-Wright, Caldwell, NJ.
Devoted husband of the late Gladys (nee: Marmo). Beloved father of John Walsh Jr. and his wife Laurie, Diane Flynn and her husband Joe and Mary Walsh and her fiance Greg Juszczak. Cherished grandfather of Johnny and Bryan Walsh, Heather and Wendy Pomarico and Joey Flynn, Jr. Loving Great-grandfather of Gavin Walsh. Dear brother of William Walsh, Dolores Cavanaugh, Joan Woods and the late Daniel Walsh. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Friends and relatives are invited to attend a funeral from the Santangelo Funeral Home at 635 McBride Ave. West Paterson, NJ on Saturday, July 14th, 2007 at 8am, thence to St. Bonaventure Church in Paterson, where a mass will be offered at 9am. Cremation to follow at Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa. Visitation on Friday 2-4 & 7-9pm. www.santangelofuneral.com
