Obituary of Elena A Buscema

BUSCEMA, Elena (nee Zampella), age 78, a resident of West Paterson for 48 years, died Monday, February 18, 2008. Mrs. Buscema was born in Piedimonte, Italy. She cooked for Holy Family Residence, West Paterson for many years. She was a parishioner of St. Bonaventure Church and a member of the St. Bonaventures Senior Club. She was also a member of the West Paterson Seniors and the Our Lady of Pompeii Seniors. Loving wife to the late Salvatore P. Buscema. Cherished mother to Anthony and his wife Rose Marie, Virginia and her husband Arthur Straube, Elaine and her husband Fred Sinforosa, Robert and his wife Jeannine, and the late Joanne Buscema Cochran. Devoted grandmother to Lisa and her husband Spencer Smith, Salvatore and his wife Tara Buscema, Richard Rasp and his wife Michelle, Lauren Straube, Matthew and Joshua Sinforosa. Treasured great grandmother to Zachary Smith, Ryan and Gillian Rasp. Dear sister to Gemma Zampella of Italy and the late Dora Parisi. Visiting hours will be Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Avenue, West Paterson. The funeral mass will be Thursday, 9:00 am at St. Bonaventure Church, Paterson. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the NJ Center for Outreach and Services for Autism, Ewing, NJ, North Jersey Chapter of Multiple Sclerosis, NJ, or Passaic Valley Hospice, Totowa, NJ in her memory.
