Obituary of Vincent J. Spina

SPINA, Vincent Jim, age 96, of Paterson, died March 12, 2008. Mr. Spina was born in Jersey City. He worked at Standard Tile, Totowa until his retirement. He served as a Eucharistic Minister at St. Bonaventure Church, Paterson. He was also a member of the St. Bonaventure Church Senior Citizens Group. Devoted husband to the late Ann (nee Lynch). Loving father to Vincent J., Jr. and his wife Evelyn. Cherished grandfather to James and his wife Debra and Judy and Ed Schroeder. Great grandfather to Nicole, Kristi, and Taylor Spina and Anthony and Christian Schroeder. Predeceased by sister Marie Applegate and by brothers William and Chris and sister Josephine Smith. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Avenue, West Paterson, NJ. The funeral mass will be Monday at 9:30 am at St. Bonaventure Church, Paterson. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to Hospice of New Jersey, 400 Broadacres Drive, 4th Floor, Bloomfield, NJ 07003 in his memory.
