Obituary of Gilbert Ventura

Gilbert J. Ventura, age 72, of Paterson, died August 8, 2008. Born in Paterson, he remained a resident all his life. He was the owner of La Vie En Rose, Paterson. He will always be remembered as a talented entertainer, comedian, and mostly as a singer. He was a parishioner of St. Gerards Church, Paterson. He was a member of the Franklin Club, Paterson and the Riverside Vets, Hawthorne. Cherished husband to Tina (nee Roncone). Beloved father to John Lukasko Ventura, Kathy Erlewein and her husband Joe, Robert Scheck and his wife Dorothy, and Steven Scheck and his wife Randi. Loved grandfather of 6 grandchildren. Dear brother to Joseph Ventura and his wife Ann. Predeceased by brother John and sister Florence. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Sunday, 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Avenue, West Paterson, NJ 07424. A funeral service will be held Monday, 9:00 am at Santangelo Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Paterson.
