Obituary of Mike Semaskewich

Mike Semaskewich, age 90, of Highland Lakes, formerly of West Paterson, passed away November 17, 2008. He proudly served his country as a Staff Sergeant in the 101st Airborne 506th Parachute Infantry in the Unites States Army defending the United States in World War II from 1940 - 1945. He was the oldest member of the American Legion Post # 238, West Paterson and was also a member of the Riverside Vets, Paterson. He was the owner of Mike and Mae's Deli, West Paterson. Devoted husband to Amelia (nee Ulmer). Beloved father to Nadine Spagnola and her late husband Ralph and Michael Semaskewich and his wife Carol. Treasured grandfather to Michael Spagnola. He was predeceased by sister Mae Semaskewich. Visiting will be Wednesday, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Avenue, West Paterson, NJ 07424. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at10:00 am.Burial will follow at Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa.
