Joe if you are reading this I had no idea there was a service and I am sorry I could not be there for your brother in his time of need or passing. He was a good close friend of mine who moved away to West Paterson and we didnt keep in touch as much as when he lived in Parsippany (my neighbor in the house around the corner from my Mom's). We hadnt really spoke since June (when I was laid off from my job at Sony BMG Music Group in Lyndhurst). I was wondering why I hadnt heard from him this Thanksgiving/Christmas like I usually do. We somehow lost touch when he took the job at SANDVIC and he had been travelling abroad (to Sweden). I am very sorry Joe and mourning the loss of a true friend who always stayed my friend even if I was critical or disagreed with him.
I will miss 'doc' Alan's white hair & upbeat friendly attitude and advice very very much. He was someone I was able to confide my deepest thoughts to without fear of rejection. This is what a true friend does.
Sorry I didnt get a chance to say goodbye my dear friend. He is the third close friend I lost this year (2008) including Joe Ombaldo and Danny McGlynn. My heart goes out to their families always. 2008 will always be remembered as an awful year in my life. Nothing is worse than losing someone close to you in death.
