Obituary of Adelina "Lena" Sassano

Adelina "Lena" Sassano (nee DeSenzo), age 104, of Manahawkin, formerly of Paterson, passed away December 10, 2008. She was a homemaker to her four children: Joseph and his late wife Adriana, Dominick and his wife Jeanette, Carmella and her husband Bob, Victor and his wife Francis "Pat", as well as 7 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. She was a parishioner and member of the Seniors Group of Our Lady of Pompeii Church, Paterson. Loving wife to the late Vito Sassano. Predeceased by seven brothers and sisters. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visiting will be on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Avenue, West Paterson, NJ. The funeral mass will be Saturday, 9:30 am at Our Lady of Pompeii Church, 70 Murray Avenue, Paterson. Guests may arrive at funeral home at 8:30 am to join the procession to church. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Paterson.
