Obituary of Nicholas "Nick" Barbieri

Nicholas "Nick" Barbieri, age 81, of West Paterson, passed away December 24, 2008. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy serving during World War II as a Fireman First Class. He worked as an engineer for Singer Kearfott, West Paterson before retiring. He was a parishioner of St. Bonaventure Church, Paterson. He was also an honorary member of the West Paterson Fire Company # 3. Devoted husband to the late Madeline (nee Vetere). Beloved father to Linda Zisa and grandfather to Larry Zisa. He is also survived by sister - in - law Florence Friedman, nephew Mark Friedman, and many nieces and nephews. Visiting will be Friday, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Avenue, West Paterson, NJ 07424. A funeral mass will be held Saturday at 9:00 am at St. Bonaventure Church, Paterson. Guests are invited to gather at funeral home at 8:00am.Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa.
