Obituary of Gerardina Mellone

Gerardina Mellone (nee Cornetta) of Woodland Park, passed away May 6, 2009. Born in Serre, Italy she moved to the United States in 1957 living in Woodland Park for the rest of her life. She was a parishioner of St. Bonaventure Church, Paterson. Beloved wife of the late Ralph Mellone who she married in 1957. Cherished mother to John, Ralph Jr., and Anthony Mellone. Loved sister of Nevina Parente and her husband Frank, Josephine Cornetta and her late husband Ceaser, Olga Cornetta and her late husband Jerry, the late Rose Cornetta and her husband Dominco, Pasquale Cornetta, Luigi Cornetta and his wife AnnaMaria and Angelo Cornetta and his wife Pina. Dear aunt to Lucrezia Freda and her husband Pasquale, Nick Parente and his wife Janete, Raffello Sguazzo, Luigi Cornetta and his wife Maria, Anthony Cornetta, Maria Lidestri, Claudia Cutri and her husband Dominic, Toni Kuhlas, RosaLinda Cornetta, Francesca Cornetta, Alex Nigro, and Andrea Nigro. Great aunt to Samantha and Stephanie Freda, Nicole and Michael Lidestri, Christina and Joey Cutri, DJ and Charlie Kuhlas, Alyssa Cornetta, and Anthony Cornetta. Visiting will be Monday, 2-4 and 7-9pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Avenue, Woodland Park, NJ. A funeral Mass will be Tuesday, 9:00am at St. Bonaventure Church, 174 Ramsey Street, Paterson. Guests may arrive at the funeral home at 8:00am. Entombment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Paterson.
