Obituary of Leo Joseph Cece

Leo Joseph Cece, of Paterson, passed away suddenly on January 5, 2013 at the age of 95. He was born in Paterson to the late Carmen and Marie Cece. He worked for over 40 years at Curtiss-Wright in Woodridge before retiring. He was a devoted parishioner at Our Lady of Pompeii Church where he served as an usher and Eucharistic Minister and was also a member of the Seniors Group. He also served as Eucharistic Minister to the sick at St. Joseph's Hospital in Paterson. He was the beloved husband of Emma (nee Eozzia) for nearly 75 years. He was the cherished father of Judith Treloar, Patricia Urgo and her husband Victor, and Barbara Costagliola. He was the adored grandfather of 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. He is the dear brother of Robert Cece, Josephine Hempstead and the late Joseph, Rocco and John Cece and the late Jean McDonald. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Monday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park, NJ. A funeral Mass will be offered Tuesday at 9:30am at Our Lady of Pompeii Church, 70 Murray Ave., Paterson, NJ. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa.
