Obituary of Rose Filko

Rose Filko (nee Riess), age 87, of Woodland Park, passed away July 16, 2009. Rose did clerical work before retiring, most recently at Clarkson Industries in Totowa. Beloved wife to the late Christian Filko. Loved mother to the late Rudolph G. Filko and his wife Peg. Cherished grandmother to Hon. Rudolph A. Filko and his wife Janet and Lisa MacLeod and her husband Hugh. Dear great grandmother to Ryan and Steven Filko and Megan, Marie and Hugh MacLeod. She is also survived by brother Franz Riess and family of Germany and cousins Katie and Al Bach. Predeceased by brother Josef Riess. Visiting will be Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Avenue, Woodland Park. A funeral mass will be held Monday, 9:00am at Our Lady of Pompeii Church, 70 Murray Avenue, Paterson. Cremation will be private by the request of the family.
