Obituary of Vera Portello

Vera Portello (nee Jaslanek), age 80, of Hopatcong, formerly of Clifton and Paterson, passed away July 19, 2009. Vera worked for United Photo in Clifton doing photo processing before retiring. Beloved wife to the late John Portello. Loved mother to Mary Ann Roberts and her husband Jon, Linda DeZuzio and her husband Carmen "Butch", John Portello, Jr. and Joseph Portello. Cherished grandmother to Dawn Frisch and her husband Eric, Michele DeZuzio, and Amanda Roberts. She is also survived by sisters Anna Cavillo, Helen Whitmore, Stella Ciallella, and Irene Schmidt. Predeceased by sister Sophie Jaslanek. Visiting will be Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Avenue, Woodland Park. A funeral service will be held Thursday at 9am at Santangelo Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa.
