Hi honey. I miss you so much already. I still can't believe you're not here. Our baby (dog) Lucky is so depressed; he is definitely going thru a grieving process, too. You know those "Love Is..." cartoons you used to cut out for me? Terry found the one for Sat. the 18th that just pictured the girl with the saying, "Love is....sometimes a shattered dream" with pictures of pieces of a broken heart falling. That's your message to me to let me know you're ok & watching, right? I hope you enjoyed your memorial service & repast. I think it was everything you'd want -- a lot of love & respect & baseball stories of my hero. I'm so proud of you; you did go out on top, honey. You may have lost the battle, but you won the war. You touched so many lives...we will all miss you, my love. Please tell Mom Rom I love her, & of course my parents & Lola, & Sandy, ok? Lucky will probably be next to join you...then my heart and home will be totally empty. Please continue to watch over all of us, especially Vanessa...you WILL be able to see her grow up. She misses you so much, too. "Where's Pop-Pop?" was heard over & over at our house & every time she sees me. She loved you so & always will. I promise to try my best to take care of Nic & Ger & Nessa. They've been very good to me & have been a real blessing during this extremely difficult time. I will try to keep in touch w/Christian, but can never fill your shoes. Hope you can hear/read this, my love. As we always said, Jack, I will love you 'Til Eternity...& beyond. All my love always, Marie xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo

One of my first years teaching I had the pleasure of administering finals with Jackie. It was amazing to see Jacki interact with the students. There was so much mutual respect. At that moment I thought to myself, this is the teacher I want to become. As a coach, he always encouraged me. I wish we could have coached just one season together.

"I for my part am already being poured outlike a libation. The time of my dissolution is near. I have fought the good fight. I have finished the race. I have kept the faith. From now on a merited crown awaits me; on that Dy, the Lord, just judge that he is, will award it to me - and not only to me but to all who have looked for his appearing with eager longing." 2 Timothy 4:6-8

Jack,
I warmed your bottles when you were a baby, and took you for walks in your carriage. Then you started school and you hated it. And then later on became a school teacher, we never would have guessed that. Mommy and all of us were so proud of you with your baseball accomplishements, winning state batting championship. And then when you came home in your army uniform, mommy was beaming with pride, you were so handsome and such a gentlemen. Then you became the best father that your daughter, Nicole could ever want. I was always so proud of you. We had great times with our children and partying in the 70's. We loved having you and Nicole spend your vacations with us down the shore. Later on you were so lucky to find Marie and she made the second half of your life so happy and memorable I will miss you terribly but I have such good memories to hold on to. Rest in peace and now you are with Mommy and our siblings. I will be along soon and then the family chain will be complete again. I love you.

I will always cherish the memories I had and made over the years with my Uncle Jack. The weeks when he and Nicole would come down to the shore by us during the summer were always the highlight of the summer. Whether it was going fishing, to the beach, to a movie, to the boardwalk or watching the horrible 80's yankees on WPIX it was always memorable. As an adult the memories continued whether it was his marriage to Marie, the birth of my daughter, the birth of his grand-daughter or just hanging out in Manahawkin the memories continued. I believe we live forever as long as there is someone whom we've touched that remembers us. I will always remember you and LOVE you. I will teach my daughter about my Uncle Jack and what a great person you were so your memory will live on in her. You've touched so many lives that I can see your memory living on for a long, long time to come. Love you!

Jack,
You taught John and Matt how to fish - and what big fish they caught in your lake! You shared the stories behind your sports memorabilia. You made me smile. So many wonderful memories that I will hold close forever. This quote says it all: "What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch. We may not understand why you left this earth so soon, or why you left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that you died, but that you lived. And that your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget."
Thank you for the beautiful memories. Peace and love, Kristen

Mr. Romanick, my teacher, my mentor, my friend. You have touched the life of so many of us from PCT, PCTI. Not a day goes by as a NJ Master Plumber when I teach one of my guys something you taught me, or I have to laugh when to this day I do somthing that you taught me. I'll never forget hanging in the hall, or Mr. Faris yelling at all of us about girls. As an adult I'll always remember the good times at the Chris Club and going out with you and Marie. I will always have the cresent wrench you gave me that you used for years to turn on B-tanks at tech. Thank-you for everything you have given me, I promise to continue to pass it forward. I will miss you very much. Let evryone know who reads this that Mr. Romanick was the best person anyone could be.
