Obituary of German Silva

German Silva, age 62, of Paterson, passed away September 7, 2009. He was born in Ecuador to Vincente and Carlota Silva. In Ecuador he attended Guayaquil University where he received his BA with Contenta, Highest Honors. He was then a principal of Guillermina Menstanza Jimenez School in Ecuador. More recently, he worked for Little Falls Alloy in Paterson. He was a parishioner of St. Agnes Church, Paterson. Beloved husband to Ignacia (nee Salazar). Treasured son to Vincente Silva and Carlota (nee Jaramillo). Loved father to Karina Casson and her husband James, Jessica Silva and her husband Cesar Martinez, German F. Silva and his wife Jessica Diaz, and Soraya Silva and grandfather to Katherine, Nathalie, Danna, Mariah, and Amaya. He is also survived by many relatives in Ecuador. Visiting will be Thursday, 2-4 and 7-9pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Avenue, Woodland Park, NJ. A funeral Mass will be held Friday, 11:30am at St. Agnes Church, 681 Main Street, Paterson. Guests may arrive at funeral home at 10:30am. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa.
